DasNet Earns Williams Sound DIGI-LOOP Advanced Certificate

DasNet engineers were subjected to intense training at the Peter E. Schmitt Company facility in Manhattan for expert level training. Though induction loops seem easy on the surface, they have proven to be challenging for those that may not have installed or designed one before, and when details regarding the physical environment are unknown. DasNet is committed to ensuring it is well versed in the types and suppliers of loop equipment. its engineers have displayed a full understanding of the importance of the IEC60118-4 performance standards as it relates to induction loop systems through the successful passing of all of its members from this advanced class.

DasNet Completes HLAA Induction Loop Project

DasNet assisted NYC's City Hall with a systemic engineering issue that it had endured for nearly two (2) years. City Hall advised that it wasn't able to obtain a viable design solution to reengineer the retrofit of its outdated induction loop system within the Council Chamber at New York City Hall for the hearing impaired. The Mayor's technical team was critical in providing prerequisite information on the facility based on historical knowledge and critical pre-design data that was taken into consideration within the final design. This is a project where DasNet engaged with civic leaders, the hearing loss community, and NYC council officials to design and integrate a new loop system with the existing audio system(s) allowing all affected participants to benefit from this service when visiting City Hall's Council Chamber.

This project is steep with perils, but DasNet is no stranger to achieving success out of the most dire of technical challenges presented to its engineering team. With the restricted limitations posed for installation to the technical constraints presented by the 100 year old constructed facility, the integration to the chamber's audio and video systems will be the east of our concerns.

The Foundation partnered with UNICEF (United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund) and also the Government of Anguilla to deliver UNICEF’s program “Return to Happiness” which focuses on offering an approach through play and engagement to help reduce any trauma in children sustained from the anxiety of the storm. The Foundation was able to offer support by providing infrastructure, supplies, ground transportation and daily nutritional hot meals so as to facilitate the programming being provided to Anguilla’s children. Since that time the Foundation has engaged in other philanthropic efforts on island including support to students of Howard University in the important work they gratuitously offered to Anguilla through their Alternative Spring Break Program for 2018.

DasNet announced the opening of its office in Japan, today, to supplement its headquarters in New York, branch/satellite offices in Georgia, Texas, New Mexico, California, and Washington, and foreign offices in Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and South Korea. The new office will be located in the American Village in Okinawa. SATCOM-II replaces GSA’s existing satellite services contract

The General Services Administration tapped 24 communications companies to provide satellite services under its five-year, $750 million SATCOM II contract. The winning companies, including nine small businesses, were announced May 2. The new contract will offer the Defense Department and civilian agencies global communications services such as mobile communications, Internet access, broadcasting, distance learning and emergency response support, said John Johnson, assistant commissioner for GSA’s Integrated Technology Service.

$15B vehicle opens for business this month

After a delay of more than a year, the Alliant Small Business contract gets under way this month. The companies holding spots on the vehicle will now compete for task orders after they make final certifications to the General Services Administration that they are indeed small businesses. DasNet today announced that it has been awarded a prime contract by the NAVSEA Warfare Center, which established the Seaport Enhanced (Seaport-e) Multiple Award Contract (MAC) vehicle as a web-based, e-business procurement Portal, to facilitate performance-based service acquisition, leverage buying power, improve business intelligence and reduce cycle time. The multiple award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a five-year base period of performance and five one-year options. Seaport-e has a total contract value of more than $19 Billion, if all options are exercised.
